DEPUTY PROGRAM SECURITY MANAGER
The Deputy Program Security Manager is required to undertake all the roles and responsibilities of the Program Security Manager during periods of leave or absence. As required, and in support of the Program Manager, this role may also include additional security responsibilities within the PV Subsistence Program in Jordan and Iraq.
The appointment provides a focal point within the Security Management Team for all Threat, Vulnerability and Risk related issues including the maintenance of all Asset and Risk Registers across the Program. In addition, the appointment also acts as the conduit for all physical and technical security issues. With a responsibility to oversee Program training activity, the role shapes and directs the security training program and leads on its delivery in person and through the client Security Manager.
The appointment demands an individual with a proven track record in Security Risk Management and demonstrable skills and experience within the military/law enforcement and commercial security sector. A highly skilled and articulate verbal and written communicator, the Program Security Manager must be capable of addressing operational and strategic issues at both Board and senior customer level, in support of the Program Security Manager The Deputy Program Security Manager is to supervise and review the performance of the delivery of services by security sub-contractors and service providers at all client facilities within Kuwait.
Main Function / Tasks:
In addition to supporting those tasks allocated to the Program Manager, the Deputy Program Security Manager is to:
Support the Management and Supervision of physical security at all Program locations within Kuwait;
Support the management of service delivery performance standards of Subordinate client Security personnel, security sub-contractors and providers;
In support of the Program Security Manager and alongside Facilities Stakeholders (Program Functional/Department Heads) support the implementation of current and future security requirements as part of routine operations or Program/Department change management;
Design, deliver and review all Kuwait-based security training and validation exercises and provide feedback to the Program Security Manager on performance standards, areas of threat, risk and lessons learned;
Support the design, implementation and review of all country SOPs and other Program security policies, plans and procedures relevant to Kuwait-based facilities security operations;
Support security briefings and escort of high-level contract-related visits to client locations across Kuwait.
Support the drafting, implementation and validation of security related SOPs and other policies, plans and procedures relevant to all Kuwait-based facilities security operations;
Creation, development and maintenance of an incident database and Reports and Return (R2) procedure.
ADDITIONAL AND SECONDARY FUNCTIONS / TASKS
This post will normally be covered by the Deputy Program Security Manager during absences. The Deputy Security Manager will also be required to perform any other tasks and duties not mentioned above as directed by the Program Security Manager.
